Yaktrax Walk Traction Cleats for Walking on Snow and Ice
Budget
Our verdict
Our pick for everyday icy sidewalks because the lightweight steel coils stretch over most shoes and boots, grip in all directions, and stay flexible in temperatures the maker rates down to minus 41 degrees Fahrenheit. The elastic band with a heel tab goes on and off quickly at the door, which matters on a routine with several stops. The coils suit walking rather than running or steep trails, and like all cleats they should come off before stepping onto bare indoor floors.
